Tour report parte 1

My dear friends, it was impossible to post during my Latin American tour.

Whether we were travelling or I had some other activities. I searched for a time to rest whenever I could.

Instead, I decided this time to make a tour report so that you know what was going on. I hope you like it!

PART I

After some days of rehearsals in the DF, the shows in Mexico City and Guadalajara were wonderful and we had so great time with my Mexican fans. It was truly a pleasure once again to perform to you guys. I had missed you! The organization, the weather and the food…all just marvellous. How nice it was to see happy, smiling faces again in front of me, singing with me. I will cherish these moments for a long time, because I had been waiting for this tour particularly very long. I was pretty nervous to sing “Signos” for the first time in DF, but you people, you loved it! Thank you so much.

I just wonder what was going on with one man’s head and heart when he decided to get me these flowers? They are just incredible!



On our day off we visited a tequila brewer called Jose Cuervo in the town of Tequila. It was really interesting trip to get to know the history of that famous drink and how it is prepared still today.

After our visit we stopped to enjoy real margaritas. Delicious!



We had a great time there and the sun was up for us, actually it was a really hot day. The town of Tequila is pretty small, old town and we got to see how Mexicans celebrate their carnival season.



We were stopped by the local people who offered us food for free and we accepted their offer.

I asked Mike while we were eating how he liked his food and he answered:” it’s delicious.” What he didn’t know was that he was eating crab, which is seafood, which means NO, NO for Mike. HAHAA.



When we left Mexico behind us and arrived to Bogotá, we got a warm welcome from my fan club at the airport. People were so friendly that it made my band really happy after a long flight. The weather was way colder down there than it was in Mexico, but we survived.

We had two shows in Colombia, one in Bogotá and another one in Medellin where I had never been before. Actually no one from the crew had, so it was nice to get to know the city. Medellin is a beautiful town in the middle of the mountains.



I have to say that we were really lucky to get to play these two shows in Colombia finally, because both of them were in danger to be cancelled just in the last minute due to the technical issues and organization problems.

I want to thank my Colombian fans for being there to support us. Hopefully next time I will have better luck. I am patient.

It was so nice to arrive to the venue in Sao Paulo and hear my beautiful fans screaming out loud when they saw me! I had missed those screams! It made me very happy to know that they’ve been waiting for my return as I have waited to go back for three long years.

My concert in Sao Paulo went really well and the audience was fantastic. At times much louder than we could play, but that’s the way we love it! It was tough though to take the plane early next morning and fly to Rio for a show, but there was so much lovely energy left from the show in Sao, we managed pretty well.

Rio is a wonderful city. It was SO HOT in the concert hall that I almost fainted during my show. I think the amount of water that I drank got immediately out…somehow People anyway were excited and overwhelmed, cheering and singing with us during the whole show.

Even though I had been in Rio many times before, I never had the chance to go here.



It was really lovely experience to see the gorgeous city from way upon and the weather was just perfect for nice pictures.





Also I got a beautiful gift from my Winter Storm Rio fan club. A book of The Alchemist with a dedication for me from my favourite author Paulo Coelho. I am honoured.


The city of Brasilia took us all as a surprise. Very modern and not looking like any other city I know.

I had been only once in this city before and the concert at that time was not as successful as it was now. Fantastic audience and you could say it was hotter in the venue than in a Finnish sauna during the show. We had some time to rest in Brasilia before we travelled to Perú.

Reporte de la gira, Parte 2

No sabía qué esperar de Lima, Perú, ya que nunca había estado allí. Los organizadores y toda la gente que nos ayudó nos demostró que realmente les importaba, así que nos sentimos en buenas manos.

El concierto se realizó en un hermoso, viejo teatro con asientos y el show estaba agotado. Una atmósfera encantadora y mucha gente feliz rockeando con nosotros!

Recibí tantos regalos increíbles de mis fans que me metí en problemas varias veces durante el resto de la gira.



Principalmente porque estaba llevando a “Roxanne” conmigo…todos se reían y llamé mucho la atención en los aeropuertos!



Además la comida en Perú era realmente deliciosa. Especialmente el ceviche!



Nota para mis fans: Sé que la foto no es de un ceviche

Pudimos visitar el centro histórico de Lima, y si no lo hubiéramos visto, no hubiese podido decir que estuve en Lima. Fue simplemente bellísimo ver los edificios antiguos y las casas coloridas.



Además, lo que fué sobrecogedor fue la Huaca Pucllana, la parte cultural de Lima, donde pudimos entender cómo vivían sus ancestros.



Luego a Bolivia!

La llegada al aeropuerto de La Paz fue bastante emocionante. Había cientos de fans esperando que saliéramos. Por suerte nadie se lastimó, dado que los fans iban corriendo al lado de nuestra van. La seguridad tuvo que trabajar bastante!



Los fans nos iban siguiendo a la ciudad de La Paz en varias combis y su viaje parecía bastante peligroso a veces. De todos modos, todos nos divertimos mucho con ellos.



No fue fácil para nosotros poder lidiar con el cambio tan radical de altura, sin embargo. Todos nos sentimos mareados y un poco enfermos inmediatamente después de llegar. Aterrizamos en la capital más alta del mundo, alrededor de 4000 m sobre el nivel del mar.



Hasta hablar te hacía cansar y había una sensación extraña de falta de oxígeno que te atacaba inmediatamente. Tuve que tener oxígeno preparado, cerca mío durante el concierto, y me di cuenta muy pronto de que no podría cantar sin usarlo.

Cuando tenía que seguir cantando las líneas largas, les digo, fue muy difícil. De alguna manera me las arreglé, todos los demás también. Los fans estaban muy emocionados y felices de tenernos en su país.

Fue una experiencia totalmente nueva para todos nosotros. Tal vez la próxima vez visitemos la ciudad de Santa Cruz donde la altura no es un problema!

Después de Bolivia nos fuimos para Chile. Fue gracioso, mientras caminábamos las calles de Santiago de Chile, todos sentíamos que casi podríamos correr una maratón despues de estar en La Paz.

El sol nos recibió en Chile y me encontré con la gente de mi fanclub Winterstorm en el hotel cuando llegamos. Me dieron nuevamente hermosos regalos.

Estuve muy feliz en el show en Santiego, porque todo salió muy bien gracias a la gente a cargo, a quienes conozco desde hace más de 10 años. Me hizo felíz regresar. Pienso que fue un muy buen show y los chilenos nos mostraron lo mejor. Espero con ansias la próxima vez, muchachos!



El vuelo de Santiago nos llevó a Buenos Aires. Qué agradecida estaba de poder relajarme unos pocos días en mi propio refugio. Estaba taaaaaaaaaaan feliz de estar viva y de vuelta en casa.

Muy temprano por la mañana del día siguiente al show, tomamos un micro de Buenos Aires a Rosario.

No tuve tiempo de ver la ciudad de Rosario, así que tendré que esperar a la próxima vez. El concierto se realizó en uno de los teatros más hermosos en los cuales tuve la posibilidad de cantar. Este teatro es un tesoro nacional para los argentinos, así que me siento muy honrada de que aceptaran mi concierto allí. Me dijeron que fue la primera vez que se realizó un concierto de rock en ese lugar. El teatro estaba lleno, totalmente agotado y nos divertimos con la gente local. El teatro definitivamente le dio una atmósfera especial al concierto. Espero algun día poder dar un concierto clásico en el mismo lugar. Soñando!



Estuve esperando por este momento por bastante tiempo, el poder pisar el escenario del famoso estadio Luna Park en Buenos Aires. Y finalmente ocurrió! Por supuesto que estaba nerviosa antes del show debido al tamaño del lugar y la cantidad de gente gritando, pero también porque iba a ser el público de mi “hogar” esta vez en frente mío.

Amé la oportunidad de rockear con mi gente! Y déjenme decirles, no fui la única de la banda a la que le encantó. Tuve que echarme a llorar al final porque simplemente no pude manejar las emociones! Mi país adoptivo, mi ciudad.



La próxima vez Buenos Aires me verá en un concierto clásico, con suerte.

Al día siguiente, tomamos el ferry a la hermosa Montevideo, Uruguay.

Estaba muy cansada todavía de la noche anterior, así que dormí casi todo el viaje. La primera vez en Uruguay para dar un concierto! Emocionante! Estuve en Montevideo antes, pero nunca había experimentado al público de rock local. Lo que puedo decir es que fue el mejor cierre para el tour. El lugar estaba completamente lleo y hacía mucho calor y humedad adentro durante el show.

La gente realmente se metió de lleno, gritando y cantando todo el tiempo y disfrutamos rockear con ellos. Fue realmente un placer visitar Uruguay y ver que el rock definitivamente no está muerto allá!

La gira terminó y cada uno se fue por su lado. Algunos se quedaron de vacaciones en Buenos Aires, otros se fueron hacia otros compromisis. Quiero agradecerle a todos los que participaron de esta gira. Para mí esta gira fue muy importante y demostró que hay mucho amor.



Ya estoy enmepzando a pensar en lo que se viene. En unas pocas semanas comienza una nueva gira. Esta vez en Europa. Nos vemos pronto en Rusia, amigos.
